Houston Criminal Defense Lawyer
I became a criminal defense attorney when I realized that I was far more suited to the high-energy, proactive work of the
courtroom than the desk work involved with civil law. I have a hands-on approach to collecting evidence
and a passion for tracking down details. This combined with the fact that I've always been competitive and a bit of
a rebel makes me the perfect fit for a criminal defense lawyer career.
What Makes Wade Prasifka Uniquely Qualified to Defend Drug Cases?
I put together highly effective defenses because I honestly believe that in many instances the arresting
officers have invaded your privacy and hindered your right to live without unreasonable acts of authority. I
studied 4th amendment search and seizure law with one of the leading criminal law professors in the country, and
I've applied that knowledge to get hundreds of cases successfully resolved. Too often, a drug crime lawyer will
plead guilty or move into court proceedings without taking the time to search for the evidence that would keep the
case out of court.
My undergraduate degree in biology from Southern Methodist University further qualifies me to work on drug cases,
as I have the background to challenge the results of government lab reports and the findings of the drug
recognition experts. I'm also involved in the related area of alcohol substance abuse cases and am a Certified
Field Sobriety Practitioner of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
